integrated MSP case study: 600 contingent workers enabled to work from home during COVID-19.

Randstad Sourceright integrated MSP case study business continuity during COVID-19

challenges & goals

When the COVID-19 pandemic hit the U.S., companies had to quickly move business operations offsite. Two existing Randstad Sourceright clients in the financial services and investment management sectors were among those impacted and needing to move workers to remote, at home worksites without impacting customer and consumer financial needs. The companies did not have existing work from home policies and procedures in place and were unsure of how to manage talent, processes and technology changes in such a short window of time.

the solution

With each of the financial services companies having an existing relationships with Randstad Sourceright as their integrated managed services provider (MSP), a solution was quickly developed to support their business continuity plans. Randstad Sourceright immediately created a proposal for each on how to quickly move contingent talent to remote engagements. This included how to provide communications plans, updated processes, change management support and more.

key results

  • moved 600 contingent workers to remote work sites within 48 hours of the COVID-19 shutdown
  • helped coordinate the re-imaging of laptops with client software; laptops were shipped out to contingent employees’ home addresses
  • received legal approvals and exceptions to protect the data security of the company, customers, talent and consumers
