• Develop and implement category strategies to optimize the procurement of goods and services within a specific category.Plans and executes activities driving the development and implementation of the procurement strategy, processes and plans through coordination of procurement group activities with functions to expedite the flow of data required.
• Follows Company policy to perform highly complex purchasing activities e.g., analyzing and evaluating purchasing requests, performing complex price negotiations, delivery, service and vendor quality, identifying sources, and developing procurement plans
• Administers the most complex contractual agreements for specific items as needed in compliance with Company policies and procedures. Monitors cost, schedule and scope of assigned service agreements and subcontracts to assure best quality and best value, and on-time delivery of projects.
• Leads the evaluation, assessment, and negotiation of RFP’s based on specifications set, identifying areas of concern and proposing ways for mitigation, proposing the preferred vendor, and providing solid rationale for the selection of the most efficient solution for the group
• Collects analysis to display the results of strategic sourcing projects to senior management, to gain executive sponsor approval
• Participates in the negotiation of the terms and conditions for the procurement of goods, supplies and services
• Supports the consolidation of purchase needs and seeks synergies that will create economies of scale to reduce purchase cost
• Acts as a business interface on a day-to-day basis with stakeholders, contract owners and business teams and manages the relationship with regional and/or local suppliersGrade Descriptor
• Requires specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise in own discipline or field
• Guides or leads others to solve complex problems
• Works independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations
