About the Role
As the SFMC Team Lead based in our Budapest GCC, you will play a critical dual role: leading and mentoring a team of SFMC experts while remaining hands-on in the strategic execution of global marketing campaigns and talent journeys. You will be accountable for the operational excellence, quality, and scalability of all campaigns delivered through the Global Campaign Center (GCC).
This is a senior leadership and technical role, requiring superior expertise in the SFMC platform, advanced SQL, and proven experience managing both processes and people in a high-volume, global environment.

🌟 Key Responsibilities
People & Process Leadership
- Team Leadership & Mentorship: Lead, mentor, and guide a team of SFMC experts, fostering their development and ensuring high-quality execution standards from our Budapest GCC.
- GCC Management: Lead the GCC team with regards to the execution of campaigns and journeys, overseeing bandwidth, resource allocation, and prioritization based on business goals.
- Collaboration: Work closely together with the CRM Manager, Talent Journey Strategist, and Talent Engagement Analyst to align on campaign objectives and outcomes.
Strategic Campaign Execution
- Requirements Gathering: Lead marketing cloud requirements gathering for complex global campaigns and talent journeys.
- End-to-End Campaign Management: Establish and maintain end-to-end campaigns, which includes managing assets, request flows, review, approvals, testing, measurement, insights, and optimization.
- Scalability & Strategy: Strategize a scalable solution for creating campaigns, journeys, and e-mails across multiple countries and brands, ensuring optimal efficiency.
- Campaign Governance: Oversee the campaign and journey calendar (dates, frequency, audience overlap, freeze dates, releases) and serve as the main campaign lead for all day-to-day requests.
Quality & Compliance
- Quality Assurance: Ensure optimal quality in campaign rendering, content, audience and segmentation, dynamic content and personalization, functional testing (links, tracking, etc.), and send configuration.
- Best Practices & Compliance: Ensure all campaigns and journeys comply with SFMC best practices, maintain brand identity standards, and adhere to regulatory requirements (CAN-SPAM, GDPR, and CCPA).
- Delivery Excellence: Ensure timely and accurate delivery of campaigns and journeys, making sure all critical deadlines are met.
đź§ What You Will Bring
You are an experienced people manager and technical leader ready to drive operational excellence in a global setting.
- Team Management: A minimum of 3+ years of team and people management experience leading technical or campaign operations teams.
- SFMC Leadership: 4+ years of experience leading campaign operations teams, specifically focused on execution within a marketing cloud platform.
- SFMC Technical Expertise: 6+ years of hands-on experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC).
- SQL Mastery: 6+ years experience in writing complex SQL-queries for audience segmentation, data manipulation, and data extension configuration.
- Certifications: Salesforce Marketing Cloud certifications, such as MC Administrator, are highly valued.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Deep working knowledge of digital marketing compliance standards, including CAN-SPAM, GDPR, and CCPA.
- Communication & Stakeholder Management: Excellent communication skills, with proven ability to build strong relationships, simplify complex situations, and influence stakeholders across various functional teams (Global IT, Marketing, Analytics).
- Adaptability: Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, complex, and multicultural environment.
