the great workforce adaptation

95% of employers look at 2026 with optimism and believe their business is on track for growth, but just 51% of talent feel the same way. How will you take the lead to help people use their skills, technology and multigenerational collaboration to take on this year’s growth goals?

With insights from over 26,000 workers and 1,200 employers, Randstad’s 23rd Workmonitor outlines how businesses and talent can adapt together in a future of work defined by contradiction.

Access the report to reveal critical disconnects that talent leaders will need to navigate to embrace the Great Workforce Adaptation, bridge the confidence gap and enable growth for everyone.

  • The AI gap: Businesses race to embrace a new way of working, but half of talent believe it will have a limited impact on their roles.
  • Managers’ role in creating stability: Trust in senior leadership has dipped, but the bond between people and their managers is strengthening.
  • Self-defined success: Employers understand autonomy is important to talent, but finding the right balance remains a challenge.
