Role Overview
The Sourcing Specialist is responsible for identifying high-quality talent through strategic sourcing methods, deep market understanding, talent intelligence, and strong candidate engagement. This is not a transactional CV-pushing role - it requires the ability to understand hiring needs, participate in intake calls, design sourcing strategies, engage passive candidates, and manage sourcing funnel metrics. The Sourcer will support roles across technology, BFSI, life sciences, High Value Manufacturing, and other business verticals depending on business needs, and must be adaptable, resourceful, and proactive.
Key Responsibilities
... - Intake & Talent Intelligence
- Participate in intake calls with Hiring Managers and Talent Advisors.
- Understand must-have vs good-to-have skills, talent availability, salary insights, and role complexity.
- Use talent intelligence to set expectations with stakeholders.
- Develop and document sourcing strategies aligned to market conditions.
Strategic Sourcing & Research
- Design sourcing plans using job boards, LinkedIn Recruiter, passive sourcing, talent mapping, and networking.
- Build and maintain talent pools across recurring and niche skill sets.
- Conduct competitor mapping, skills mapping, and market scans for talent supply-demand dynamics.
- Execute Boolean, X-ray, and semantic searches across platforms.
Candidate Engagement & Screening
- Engage passive and active candidates with strong client value articulation.
- Pitch client brand, culture, and role opportunities convincingly.
- Conduct structured pre-screens to assess skills, motivation, experience, and match.
- Maintain high-quality submissions with strong submission-to-interview ratios.
Funnel & Reporting Accountability
- Own sourcing funnel metrics: Submittals → Interviews → Offers → Hires.
- Aim to maintain profile-to-hire conversion.
- Track and report daily/weekly sourcing activity with accuracy.
- Highlight risks early and recalibrate sourcing strategies based on data.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate with Talent Advisors, and recruiting teams.
- Communicate proactively with clarity and ownership.
- Raise challenges and seek support in a timely manner.
- Act as a sourcing subject-matter expert in discussions with delivery teams.
What You Will Bring
Minimum Qualifications
- 2–6 years of recruitment/sourcing experience (flexible based on capability).
- Strong Boolean and search fundamentals across multiple platforms.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to participate in intake calls and challenge constructively.
- Good understanding of talent market dynamics.
- Experience sourcing across multiple skills/industries preferred.
- Fluency/Awareness with AI tools for sourcing productivity
